What are your fees?

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not accept insurance directly. However, I am happy to provide you with the necessary documentation for out-of-network reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to understand your coverage options.

How long are the sessions?

Each individual therapy session lasts 45 minutes and sessions are typically one time per week. The overall duration of treatment will be based on each person and their needs.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will incur the full session fee.

Do you offer telehealth sessions?

Yes, I offer telehealth sessions for patients who prefer to meet virtually.

What is your therapeutic approach?

I use an integrative approach that combines psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), relational, and family systems theories. This allows me to provide individualized care based on each person’s unique needs and circumstances.

How can I schedule an appointment?

To schedule an appointment, please reach out via phone at 917-830-4706 or email me at dralexiskahan@gmail.com. I will be happy to discuss your needs and find a convenient time for your session.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

Yes, I offer both in-person sessions at my office in New York City and telehealth sessions for those who prefer virtual meetings.
