About

My Background

I hold a BA in psychology from the University of Michigan and I received my doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology from Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  During my training, I have worked with individuals across the lifespan from diverse backgrounds and in a wide variety of settings including outpatient clinics, day treatment, residential homes, school settings, and private practice.

I completed my predoctoral internship at The Gateway School, an independent school in New York City, where I went on to work as a Psychologist for the Lower and Middle Schools and, ultimately, as the Coordinator of Psychological Services for the entire school. I also worked for many years as the Middle and High School Psychologist at the Little Red School House and Elisabeth Irwin High School (LREI). I have been providing individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in my private practice for over a decade.

I am a licensed psychologist and former Council Representative and former President of the School Division of the New York State Psychological Association. I have also served as a fellow and mentor for the Leadership Institute for the New York State Psychological Association. Professional affiliations include the American Psychological Association and the New York State Psychological Association.
